In the spring of 2017, two Canadian writers were invited to attend the Summer Literary Seminars, a highly respected international event, in Tbilisi, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Georgia.  Earlier in the year, Bob MacKenzie and Meg Freer had entered a writing contest sponsored by the organization behind the Summer Literary Seminars.  As two of thirty runners-up among the 500 writers who had submitted from around the world, Bob and Meg were awarded fellowships based on the merits of their writing.  These fellowships paid a considerable portion of what it would have cost them to attend.  Now, for two weeks from July 9th through 22nd, these Canadian writers will attend seminars in Tbilisi with some of the finest writers in the world.  Their blogs and reports from this website will share their experiences with the folks back home in Canada.
