In the Americas, the carousel wih beautiful hand carved and individually painted creatures to ride is extinct, relegated to museums and collectors' homes. In Tbilisi, I saw carousels in a shopping mall and in a large public park, still in use.
In Tbilisis parks, modern art monuments are often set against a backdrop of ancient culture and architecture.
In Tbilisi, many homes and hotels hang on cliffs over the river or cling to the sides of steep mountains.
